Garrison Cultural School gives tours on the 1st Saturday of Each month for individuals to Explore the rich history of this African American Educational Center. This historic site was established in Liberty in 1877. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites and features murals depicting equal education and integration struggles. Community Action is looking for volunteers to be a docent on one of those 1st Saturdays of the month. You will receive instructions on what the tours look like from the Director.
We are looking for volunteers who can be tour guides from 10 AM to 1 PM. We need one volunteer for January and two volunteers for February and June.
