Sisterhood

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is a private, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities around the world. Since its founding, more than 350,000 women have joined the organization. The sisterhood is comprised primarily of Black, college-educated women, committed to the constructive development of its members and to public service, with a primary focus on the Black community.

The Kansas City (MO) Alumnae chapter is a local chapter with over 270 members dedicated to the internal and professional development of its members and the local community. Over the years, the chapter has delivered a wide range of programs addressing education, health, financial empowerment and global citizenship. These programs are aligned with the Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust.
