Community Action

The Community Action Committee is dedicated to supporting the Five Point Programmatic Thrust of the Sorority through service to the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan area.  This committee works to address the needs of the local community on a large and small scale.  We regularly partner with the other organizations to ensure our impact is felt.  Community service is what we do and we vary our efforts each sorority year.  While Community Action regularly participates in a number of events throughout a sorority year, we have a few staples that our committee conducts annually.  Our annual events includes:

• Thanksgiving Basket Donations (Click to donate)
• Total Woman Health Fair
• Youth Retreat

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a service organization. Through the efforts of Community Action in conjunction with other chapter committees, we ensure that this tenant of our organization is upheld.  Our events are posted on the chapter calendar regularly and inquires and suggestions can be relayed to communityaction@dstkcmo.org
